Mr. Eric Bava, Chief Operating Officer
Since being appointed Chief Operating Officer of Verde Resources, Eric Bava has played a key role in driving operational growth and cultivating strategic partnerships. His leadership has been central to launching transformative initiatives, including high-profile collaborations with the National Center for Asphalt Technology to validate the Verde Resources Net Zero Blueprint and promote sustainable building materials and technologies. His visionary approach continues to position Verde Resources as a frontrunner in eco-friendly innovation within the building materials industry.
Sherina Chui, Chief Financial Officer
Sherina is a results-driven finance executive with over two decades of experience in financial leadership, internal controls, and corporate restructuring across industries including construction, industrial investments, and FMCG. She has held senior roles in publicly traded international companies, where she drove financial stability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. With deep expertise in both IFRS and US GAAP, Sherina brings critical financial acumen to support Verde Resources’ global expansion and the international licensing of its validated Net Zero Blueprint.
Karl Strahl, Director of Biochar
Karl is a leading voice in biochar and carbon removal, known for driving innovation in commercialization, market growth, and policy. He began his career at Tesla Solar, earning top sales honors through a high-conversion passive strategy. Since 2018, Karl has served as Chief Operating Officer of Oregon Biochar Solutions, where he expanded its reach across agriculture, environmental remediation, and sustainable construction. He pioneered the world’s first insured biochar carbon removal credits in partnership with Oka, setting a new benchmark for transparency and buyer assurance. Karl also contributes to national standards as Treasurer and Standards Committee Member of the U.S. Biochar Coalition. His expertise and leadership are instrumental in helping Verde Resources scale global impact and deliver long-term value.
Michelle Yanez, Senior Advisor – Capital Markets, Finance & SEC Compliance
Michelle is a senior financial executive with 25+ years of experience across public and private biotech, pharmaceutical, and life sciences companies, including leadership roles across three Nasdaq-listed companies. She brings deep expertise in capital markets, SEC reporting, financings, and corporate governance, with extensive board and committee experience. She most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of MIRA Pharmaceuticals (2023–2025) and concurrently as Chief Financial Officer of Telomir Pharmaceuticals (2024–2025), leading financial strategy, public reporting, and capital markets activities. Prior to that, she spent 20 years at BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc., where she held multiple senior leadership roles, including executive finance positions, and led financings, M&A due diligence, and SEC filings through the company’s successful acquisition in 2022.
